Pure Harmony to perform in Halesowen St Georges Day celebrations on 25 April 2015
Pure Harmony will be performing at the Dudley Council official St. Georges Day celebrations in Halesowen on Saturday 25 April 2015. Somers Square will be the main venue for the outdoor activities, with the Cornbow Hall also hosting a tea dance. There are lots of activities planned in and around the town centre. The day kicks off at 10.30am with music from Porky, followed by a rousing performance from Halesowen Scout Band, a sing-along on the main stage with local favourite Maggie O’Hara and an official opening by the Mayor of Dudley at noon. A brass band will play the civic party off and the Sedgley Morris Men will entertain the crowds with some traditional folk dancing. Baby dragon (puppets) and their handlers will be walking among the crowds, enchanting visitors of all ages. There will be music and entertainment on the main stage, traditional children’s rides, a barrel organ, face painting and craft activities provided by Dudley Council’s Juniors at Museums club. The popular bake-off competition will return and members of the public are invited to bring along their cakes for judging. The regular farmers market will be open, selling wholesome goodies.
